Metropolia University of Applied Sciences is looking for

a senior lecturer of environmental engineering -
ympäristötekniikan lehtoria

to join the Degree Program in Environmental Engineering for a full time position starting from 1 of August, 2011 in Vantaa.

The duties consist mainly of teaching, project work and R&D activities in the English Degree Program in Environmental Engineering. The main focus will be on water treatment, distribution and purification techniques related to potable and waste water. The job includes teaching of other water and environmental engineering related topics as well.

We appreciate experience and broad knowledge in the field of

  • Water treatment and purification techniques
  • Water treatment plant design

Requirements

  • Suitable education and broad knowledge of the water treatment technologies and environmental engineering
  • Relevant industrial working experience
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
  • Good communicational skills

We offer a challenging job and an innovative working environment with a possibility to developing the teaching of this subject at Metropolia and the English degree program as a whole.

The lecturer’s eligibility requirements are specified in Valtioneuvoston asetus ammattikorkeakouluista (352/2003, “Polytechnic Degree”), and the salary and terms of employment will be determined by PTYOTES, the collective agreement for the education sector issued by the Employers’ Association for Service Enterprises. Both documents are only available in Finnish.
