Finnish welfare and social services are highly value around the world. A social welfare and regional management delegation from Beijing has commissioned a course from Metropolia's Social Services. Provided for the first time in January, the course was about welfare and social services systems.
For one week, social welfare and regional management directors and experts from China learned about the Finnish social welfare system's principles, operation, legislation, services and financing. The training included visits to facilities providing services to old people.
The trainers were Elsa Keskitalo, head of Metropolia's Social Services degree programme, and Terhi Salokannel-Stenberg, one of the degree programme's lecturers.
