Dear Metropolia Master’s Alumni!

More than 10 000 students have achieved their Master’s degrees from Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences; around 1 600 from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. You are one of our Master’s graduates!

We want to celebrate Master’s education and its impact in working life together with you on Friday, 9 October 2015, in the very first Metropolia Master’s Alumni Event. The theme of this event is Diversity Management.

You are warmly welcome to

  • hear interesting speeches and discussions on the benefits and best practices of Diversity  Management in various work environments;
  • update career news with other alumni and our staff;
  • influence Metropolia’s alumni activities, so that they meet your expectations and needs in the best possible way; as well as
  • enjoy a light buffet and socialize with old friends and new acquaintances.

Doctorate Thesis: “The Perceptions of Employees of Diversity Management: A Case Study in a Private Organisation in Cyprus”.

Research interests: Equality and diversity in employment; cultural diversity; international human resource management

“My research focuses on equality, diversity and inclusion at work from comparative, relational and interdisciplinary perspectives. Exploring aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion at  work, I pursue a mainly curiosity driven, yet theoretically rigorous, empirically grounded and policy relevant, research agenda. My research seeks to answer important questions and  address significant problems that face workplaces.”

The Alumni Event is part of a project ”Increasing the R&D impact of Master's education”, funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Metropolia UAS is involved in the Diversity Management work package.
