Her Highness, Bahraini Princess Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa visited on Monday, 28.9. Metropolia’s Vanha viertotie campus. The visit was hosted by Managing Director, President Riitta Konkola, Director Katri Luukka, as well as Manager of Education Export Aija Ahokas.
The Princess became acquainted with the campus activities and learning environments guided by lecturer Jouko Heiskanen. Metropolia's multidisciplinary expertise was presented to Her Highness by various experts. In addition, Metropolia ambulance and Biofore Concept Car were on display.
Metropolia UAS will be hosting H.H. Sheikha Noora for six days, 25.-30.9.2015. Her Highness is seeking for potential co-operation possibilities in the sector of education export. Her Highness is interested in reviewing the potential cooperation opportunities between Finland and Bahrain, especially in the health care and education sectors.
Metropolia’s Business Services, MCreO, has a special interest towards Bahrain, as it has a long history of formal education and a strategic location as an active gateway to the GCC countries.
