Metropolia has four fields of study: culture, business and administration, health care and social services and technology and transport, all of which provide teaching also in English.
Bachelor’s Degrees
Metropolia offers bachelor's degree programmes conducted in English. Application period for daytime studies is once in a year.
Metropolia offers also bachelor's degree conducted in English as adult education. Studies can be carried out along with regular work. Application period for these evening and multiform studies is is once in a year.
Master's Degrees
Metropolia has master's degree programmes conducted in English. Studies are aimed at especially for those who have Bachelor’s degree. Studies can be carried out along with regular work. The extent of the studies is normally 60-90 ECTS credits and the duration is usually two years.
Specialisation Studies
The specialisation studies are continuing education programmes. Specialisation studies are an efficient way of deepening or updating your professional knowledge and skills. The duration of studies is usually one year and the extent is normally 30 ECTS credits. Studies are aimed at especially for those who have Bachelor’s degree or other applicable university degree.
The education is implemented as multi-form teaching, containing both contact teaching and distance learning. The contact teaching is arranged in the evenings and sometimes on weekends so that it is possible to study while working.
The education is subsidised by the Ministry of Education and the study fee is 250 euros for one-year studies. The students pay also for their course materials.
