Business Informatics

Business Informatics is a degree programme of 60 ECTS for engineers in profession who want to deepen their strategic and managerial expertise through improved information management and better use of business intelligence systems.

The student will become a competent analyzer and user of business intelligence in decision-making, in business operations as well as in business development. Deeper insight into business management areas such as management and leadership, logistics, marketing, or accounting are offered, each linked to the corresponding ICT systems (eg. MIS, ERP, CRM).The scope of studies is international.

Each student plans and implements a development project in/for real business life, typically for their work organization. In doing so, the student’s research, project and change management skills will be enhanced. Networking, team, and negotiation skills also improve in the multi-cultural, tied-to-business setting in which this Master’s DP is carried out. This R&D project will be reported as a Master’s Thesis (30 ECTS).

When studying on a part-time basis, the student can achieve the master’s degree in 2 years, however with flexibility both ways. Contact sessions take place on Thursday evenings and/or on Fridays, approximately twice a month. Various forms of e-learning will also be applied. The language of instruction is English.
