Master's Degree Programme for Musicians

A Master's degree in Music will provide the student with the necessary facts and skills to work in demanding classical, pop or jazz music-related tasks and development posts as an educator, artist and specialist. Depending on their work experience and interests, students may focus on artistic or educational work or a combination of these.

The Master's degree programmes, lasting for one year (or 60 ECTS credits) are available for Musicians and Music Educators. The teaching takes place in Ruoholahdentori, Helsinki, in Metropolia's premises. The degree is equivalent to other Master's degrees and qualifies graduates to posts for which the formal requirement is a Master's degree in higher education.
