The Self-directed Learning Environment consists of several premises. Students from various degree programmes can strengthen their clinical skills in the learning environments by practicing on their own or in pairs after their theoretical and laboratory studies. Students can practice resuscitation, peripheral venous cannulation, catheterisation, blood pressure and ECG measurement, venipuncture and the childbirth process. The can also study independently in various virtual environments.
In SkillsPro, students can strengthen their clinical skills using various dummies, simulators and virtual applications. The learning environment takes modern requirements for patient safety into consideration and gives students the opportunity to sharpen their competence in clinical skills during their training. In the learning environment, students can prepare for clinical skills examinations, simulation teaching or supervised practical training. The learning environment can also be utilised in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
