The enrolment is binding

The enrolment for studies at the Open University of Applied Sciences must be done a week before the course begins at the latest.

After receiving an electronic registration, the Open University contact person will find out if there is an available seat on the course in question. The Open University students get a confirmation and more information about studying by email.

Please notice that the enrolment is binding! This means that the person enrolled is liable for receiving an available study place and paying the stydy fee.

Cancelling attendance

The attendance in open studies can be cancelled a week before the beginning of the course(s) without having to pay the study fee.

The cancelling has to be done in written, by a letter or an email addressed the the contact person of open studies. Notice that simply not showing up is not cancelling! Nor is reporting cancelling to teachers.

Dropping out

Also dropping out has to be reported to the contact person of open studies. Not showing up or telling the teachers is not enough. If an Open University student drops out, paid fees will not be returned.

Limited number of student places

Open University students study mainly in the same courses and study groups as the degree students.

Please notice that on most of the courses, there are only a couple available student places for Open University students.

The Open University students will be given the student places in the order that the enrolments are received.
