Media Engineering

Admission Criteria

The Rectors' Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences has given a Recommendation on Student Admission Criteria (pdf) for the Bachelor’s Degree programmes in the joint application system. Polytechnics/universities of applied sciences decide their own student admission criteria based on the recommendation.

The recommendation is applied to Metropolia’s Degree Programme in Media Engineering with the following exceptions:

  • The Degree Programme will use Metropolia’s own entrance examination for Information Technology and Media Engineering Degree Programmes. Other entrance examination results will not be considered.

  • The English language test is compulsory for all applicants in the entrance examination; exemption is not possible.

  • School performance points will not be considered but the student selections will be made solely on the basis of entrance examination results.

Application Instructions

Metropolia's application instructions are available here.

General application instructions (based on the recommendation) are available at http://www.admissions.fi => Application Practicalities.
