Zone - Universities of Applied Sciences Sport Services start operating on Monday 16.1.2017.
The aim for the Zone Sport Services is to physically activate the UAS community and to increase the amount of everyday sports for students.
Funding for the Zone Sport Services comes from Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia and therefore the use of services is limited to students and staff of these three Universities of Applied Sciences. Previously the sport services were run by Metka, the Student Union of Metropolia, and were called Metkaliikunta.
Zone Sport Services are being developed under a project called "Equal Sport Services for the Universities of Applied Sciences in the Capital Region", which started in 2015. The project is being funded by the Ministry of Culture and Education.
Zone Sport Services offer diverse and inexpensive services on eight campuses around the capital region.
Our services include Group Exercise, Ball Games, Gyms and Well-Being Services. There are also many Sport Courses that you can participate in with a separate small fee. There is always at least one option for you to exercise with us!
You can start moving in the Zone by buying our affordable Sports Pass for Spring or for the whole year. There's a discount for the Sport Courses that you get with the Sports Pass. The Sports Passes are sold at the Student Unions (Helga, Laureamko and Metka) Service Points.
You can find all the information from the website www.zonesports.fi (note that the English website will be opened on 16.1.).
