In order to confirm the study place the applicant must accept the study place, enroll for the academic year, pay the tuition fee if applicable and deliver the required documents to the Admission Services by:

  • 31 July 2020 at 3 pm EET (for studies starting in August/September 2020)
  • 31 December 2020 at 3 pm EET (for studies starting in January 2021)

If the study place is not accepted by the given deadline it will be withdrawn. Applicants who have accepted a study place in a degree programme in a university of applied sciences or university in Finland that started in autumn 2014 or after will not be considered as first-time applicants.

Studies used as the basis of an application must be completed and show on the official transcript of records delivered by the deadline set for confirming the study place. Partially completed studies can be considered only if the evaluation and number of completed credits show on the official transcript of records. If some of the completed credits are missing from the transcript for reasons unrelated to the applicant, the applicant can ask for a free form study certificate from the higher education institution in question regarding the credits completed by deadline set for confirming the study place (the date or completion and number of completed credits), which will be entered in the student administration database afterwards.

The admission is conditional until all the relevant certificates have been checked. Metropolia may withdraw the admission, if the applicant has given false information, does not complete all the studies/credits required for admission or does not deliver all the required documents by the deadline.

Study time for those admitted via the Open path application process will be defined according the extent of the degree (30 cr = 1 term, 60 cr = 1 year).
