Are the students of Myllypuro’s campus engineers of well-being and does developer campus describe Leppävaara perfectly?
We have now reached the testing phase of Metropolia and Miltton’s co-creation project where special charasteristics of each campus are defined together with students, staff members and various stakeholders.
Each campus now has a prototype of its unique profile, and we want to know what you think of them.
This profiling process started in spring 2017 with Metropolia Arabia campus. Now the focus is on the campuses of Leppävaara, Myllypuro and Myyrmäki.
We kindly invite everyone to comment on the suggested profiles:

The final profiles will be formulated based on the feedback we receive, so there is still an ample opportunity to influence the end results!
We concentrate our operations on 4 campuses
Metropolia’s four campuses will be located in Myyrmäki in Vantaa, Leppävaara in Espoo and Arabianranta and Myllypuro in Helsinki. The Myllypuro campus will be located in a brand new campus building.
Arabia’s campus hosts Metropolia’s programs in Culture and Creative Arts. Leppävaara will house ICT and Industrial Management. The campus being built in Myllypuro will become a center of expertise in Social Services, Health Care, Construction and Real Estate. Last but not least, Myyrmäki will focus on Industrial Technologies and International Business.
Making Campus Stories by Co-Creation
In November 2017, the campus stories and profiles were drafted in workshops. In addition to Metropolia’s students and faculty members, local residents and active voices, representatives of businesses and the cities of Helsinki, Vantaa and Espoo participated in the workshops.
The workshops were structured around different exercises aimed at defining the experience of the campuses. Participants with different backgrounds created user personas for “campus-goers”, sought to find the key words to describe the campuses and contemplated over the various ways the campuses interact with their environments.
