Metropolia University of Applied Sciences signed on Tuesday 6.10.2015 a 5-year agreement on cooperation with Bahraini Princess Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa. The content of the agreement covers H.H. Sheikha Noora being exclusive representative and marketer for the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences at the Kingdom of Bahrain, Metropolia offering highly qualified seminar speakers to Bahrain, and Metropolia providing one-day training programs, longer programs and diploma programs in Bahrain through The Nine Training Center. The goal is to start the concrete cooperation by offering a seminar in Bahrain in January 2016.
Metropolia’s Business Services, MCreO, has a special interest towards Bahrain, as it has a long history of formal education and a strategic location as an active gateway to the GCC countries.
H.H. Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa is a young successful business woman, owner of Educational Institute in Bahrain and 16 other Companies, in diverse sectors across the GCC Countries. Her Highness holds a Master's Degree in Media & Public Relations and a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from New York University. She is Ambassador of Peace/Goodwill (International Goodwill Club, Economic & Social Council, UN). Recently, Her Highness obtained an approval for establishing a private university in Bahrain. Her Highness is very much interested in the Finnish Education System and in mutual cooperation opportunities with Helsinki Metropolia UAS in this regard.
