Sharing cafe project

Sharing Café project supports women with immigrant backgrounds who are outside the labour market and face barriers to employment. The project strengthens their social inclusion, wellbeing, functional capasity and ability to work. It focuses especially on women who have migrated from Africa and the Middle East. The project helps women build their strengths and resources so they can take an active role in society and support their own wellbeing. It also promotes understanding and support from their spouses.

OVI-network connects organisations and professionals working with women with immigrant backgrounds. Its purpose is to strengthen cooperation, share knowledge, and develop services together. The network is led by Sharing Café, operates in Finnish and focuses on East Helsinki.
