Textile design degree provides broad skills to work in design professions focused on textiles. A textile designer can significantly increase general comfort and well-being in their profession. They understand the historical value of textiles, but on the other hand, they can delve into the latest technical innovations in the field in their work.
In addition to product and textile design, a textile designer’s work includes designing various surface materials and their productization and production. The work may also consist of sales, marketing and coordination tasks, as well as communication work in the field.
This degree is only in Finnish. Teaching takes place in Helsinki at the Arabia Campus.
