Autumn 2025 graduates celebrated on Metropolia campuses: "It feels like reaching a major milestone in life"
At Metropolia’s Autumn 2025 graduation ceremonies, students from the fields of culture, business, social and health care, and technology are being celebrated. The graduation events are held this week at Metropolia’s Arabia, Myllypuro, and Myyrmäki campuses.
During the autumn, more than 1,000 students have graduated from Metropolia, and by December 15, nearly one hundred have already submitted their graduation requests. Of the graduates, almost 800 have completed a bachelor's degree, and more than 200 have completed a master's degree. These figures are preliminary and will continue to be updated until January.
Studies Bring Independence, Support, and Friends

Inka Kalliokoski, who studied industrial design, is one of those graduating this autumn. On graduation day, the main feeling is relief after a long effort. “It feels like reaching a major milestone in life,” Kalliokoski describes.
When starting at Metropolia, Kalliokoski knew they wanted to work in design, and the versatility of industrial design seemed like the right choice. Through studies, career prospects have become clearer, and according to Kalliokoski, the thesis was an especially educational experience.
Studies have brought new friends, a support network, and independence. “It feels like the teachers have become figures you could rely on if challenges arise in your career. Our skills as students have been trusted throughout our studies, but help is always available whenever you ask for it,” Kalliokoski summarizes.
