Project objective
The project will define and reposition the RDI profile of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences as an internationally recognized actor in applied XR technology and education. The RDI profiling work will act as a vehicle to implement Metropolia Innovation hub strategy by leveraging XR as the key intersecting horizontal technology utilized in Metropolia.
Project outcome:
- The RDI profiling work will act as a vehicle to implement Metropolia Innovation hub strategy and to identify transformative technologies that impact all innovation hubs
- Profiling the RDI role (applied XR technology and education) of Metropolia in XR theme in relation to 3UAS partner universities and scientific universities - in Finland and abroad
- Successful launch and establishment of Helsinki XR Center as a world-class ecosystem
- Increasing the XR knowledge and understanding among target groups to transform knowledge, research results and new ideas into new products and innovations in global markets
- Deepening collaboration between start ups and and large firms
- New XR-themed partnerships and projects; increased project portfolio and develop new, strategic public-private partnerships
- Increased public and private funding and Metropolia-linked startups, growth ventures and RDI projects
- New XR training solutions and products
