A journey to the golden age of big band swing

The opening concert of Metropolia Big Band’s autumn 2026 season features classics from the golden era of 1930s and 1940s big band swing. This collection of hits includes timeless evergreens made famous by the orchestras of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, and Woody Herman, among others.

The Metropolia Big Band will be led by conductors from the Finnish Military Bands, coached by Antti Rissanen.
