Study in a Postgraduate Diploma Programme for Professional Development and a Fast Pathway to a Master’s Degree

Are you ready to take your first step towards a Master’s degree – and boost your position in the job market at the same time?

Metropolia’s Postgraduate Diplomas are high‑impact programmes that deepen your professional expertise, strengthen your career prospects and open a fast and flexible pathway to a Master’s degree.

You will enhance your competence as a professional and study 60 / 90 ECTS in English on campus in Finland, leading to a Postgraduate Diploma based on the studies you complete. The Diploma corresponds to level 7 on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

If you apply to continue your studies from the Postgraduate Diploma to a Master’s degree at Metropolia, 30–60 ECTS of your Postgraduate Diploma studies (depending on the programme) will be recognised as part of your Master’s degree. This means you can focus on the remaining advanced studies and your thesis – and graduate as a Master in roughly 1.5 years.

Live and Learn in Helsinki – a Vibrant Seaside Capital

Live and learn in Helsinki, Finland’s vibrant seaside capital where Nordic calm meets an international, urban lifestyle. After class, you can sip coffee in cosy cafés, explore design districts, enjoy festivals and cultural events, or take a tram to the shoreline and watch the sun set over the Baltic Sea.

In just minutes, you can move from a modern campus to forests, parks or the islands of the Helsinki archipelago. The city is compact, easy to navigate and full of green spaces.

Helsinki is safe and welcoming, with English widely spoken and international students as a natural part of everyday life.
