Program details
Target group: The Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Game Development and Design is designed to equip participants with both creative and technical competencies essential for the videogame industry. The curriculum covers areas such as game programming, game design, and XR development.
Participants will develop skills in programming, and gain hands-on experience in the creation of 2D, 3D and XR/VR applications using game engines. The programme emphasises practical, project-based learning through team collaboration, enabling students to build a professional portfolio during their studies.
In addition to technical competencies, the programme includes training in game publishing and marketing - offering a holistic foundation for future employment or future academic study in the field of videogame development.
ECTS Credit value: 60 credits, an additional 30 credit units will be required if the applicant's Bachelor’s Degree consists of 3 years of study (equivalent to 180 ECTS credits).

Duration of implementation: 12 months full-time for 60 ECTS (18 months for 60+30 ECTS)

Eligibility criteria
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Education Degree (equivalent at least to EQF Level 6): minimum of 3 years of full-time studies (180/240 ECTS) including a minimum of 40 ECTS credits in higher education studies within the field of technology. Relevant fields may include, for example, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Software Development.
Work Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience acquired after completing a Bachelor's degree.
English Language Proficiency: Skills equivalent to IELTS Academic 6.5. No formal certificate is required, as proficiency will be assessed during the online interview.

Eligibility for Master’s Degree Programme in Information Technology
Students have to meet the entry requirements of the respective programme. Up to 30 ECTS of the studies in the Diploma Programme are accreditable towards Master’s Degree.
