Metropolia University of Applied Sciences is participating in the Erasmus+-funded Future4Alliances project, which aims to strengthen the sustainability and operational conditions of European University Alliances. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Finnish National Agency for Education, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland, and several European partner institutions.

As the only Finnish higher education institution currently coordinating its European University Alliance, Metropolia brings the perspective of an active alliance leader. Within the project, Metropolia focuses particularly on exploring sustainable funding models, supporting the implementation of joint degree programmes, and enhancing the global outreach of alliances.

The project will produce policy recommendations for EU member states, the European Commission, alliances, and other stakeholders, supporting the long-term success and impact of European University Alliances. For Metropolia, the project represents an important opportunity to contribute to European-level higher education development and policy dialogue.

Future4Alliances is a three-year project coordinated by Campus France. From Finland, the Finnish National Agency for Education and the Ministry of Education and Culture are full partners, while Metropolia participates as an associated partner.
