The situation in Ukraine - special attention to student wellbeing

The situation in Ukraine is also reflected in the operations of higher institutions in Finland. Studying in Finland and Metropolia is still safe, and it is safe to come to study in Metropolia. Metropolia gives special attention to the wellbeing of its students. Metropolia does not condone any form of discrimination or inappropriate behavior based on nationality or origin.

Metropolia complies with the authorities' traveling instructions and does not arrange any student exchanges or work travels to Russia or Belarus.

Metropolia has formulated a management steering group that monitors the situation in Ukraine closely and draws up relevant Metropolia guidelines.

With The Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences Arene, Metropolia has expressed its support for Ukraine and its university community. Arene condemns Russia's hostilities and violations of international law in Ukraine. Arene considers it essential that the university communities maintain peaceful operations despite the international situation. Arene's statement in Finnish.
