Metropolia’s Master’s Programme in Cultural Well-being Welcomes Students with Diverse Backgrounds – Bridging Social and Health Care with Creative Expertise

Creativity and Arts in Social and Health Fields Master’s programme at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences offers a unique opportunity to combine expertise from social and health care with arts and culture to promote cultural well-being. The programme is designed for professionals who seek to develop working life through creativity and artistic approaches.

This year, the eligibility criteria have been further expanded: applicants from a wide range of higher education backgrounds are welcome.

Eligible degrees include Finnish university of applied sciences and university degrees in:

  • Culture and arts, humanities, education
  • Social and health care, medicine, pharmacy, psychology, sports, social sciences

Foreign higher education degrees in culture or social and health care fields that correspond to EQF level 7 are also accepted.

In addition, applicants must have at least two years of relevant work experience. Artistic activity can also be considered as work experience.

Studies are conducted in multidisciplinary groups, emphasizing community, diverse forms of expression, and promotion of cultural rights. Graduates become professionals in the field of cultural well-being, with titles depending on their previous education.

Creativity and Arts in Social and Health Fields programme equips graduates to work as experts, developers, and leaders in the field of cultural well-being – both in Finland and internationally.
