Metropolia’s Open UAS Registrations and Email Delivery Now Functioning Normally
Open UAS registrations are now functioning normally again, and all invitations to the selection procedures for pathway studies have been sent.
The delivery of emails to outlook, hotmail, live and other Microsoft email addresses intended for private individuals also returned to normal on Friday evening.
If your registration has been successfully completed but you have not received a confirmation message afterwards, please check your spam or junk folder.
If you are uncertain about your own situation, you can contact the Open UAS customer service by email at avoinamk [at] metropolia.fi (avoinamk[at]metropolia[dot]fi). We aim to respond to all messages as soon as possible.
System Disruptions in Open UAS Pathway Registration
In week 32, there was an unfortunate disruption in the registration for Metropolia University of Applied Sciences’ Open UAS pathways, which led to registration being carried out in stages on 5–6 August 2026. Due to the system malfunction, several unclear situations occurred in which the applicant’s registration was interrupted by a technical error.
There were also issues with the delivery of messages sent from @metropolia.fi email addresses to certain email providers. This problem has now been resolved. As a result of the disruption, there were situations where the registration had gone through, but the person did not receive a confirmation message. The disruption did not affect ordinary email messages that are sent directly from the email accounts of Metropolia’s staff or students without a separate information system.
We apologise for the challenges related to applying for pathway studies and the selection procedures in our systems, and for any concern this may have caused.
