Metropolia’s reputation further strengthened in the Reputation & Trust Research
Metropolia achieved strong results in the latest Reputation & Trust Research, indicating broad trust and a positive public image among the general public. The overall reputation score rose to 3.56, compared to 3.51 two years earlier.

Reputation & Trust Research is conducted by Reputation and Trust Analytics and evaluates organizations across eight dimensions of reputation: governance, financial performance, leadership, innovation, dialogue, products and services, workplace and responsibility.
Metropolia’s key strengths were particularly in the dimensions of products and services (3.66), workplace (3.61), and responsibility (3.59). Metropolia is perceived as a competent, high-quality and responsible organization and employer that creates value for students and society.
The areas with the most room for development were dialogue (3.48) and leadership (3.48), although both showed improvement compared to the results from two years ago.
“We are pleased that Metropolia is perceived as strong, especially in terms of quality of work, responsibility, and the work community. At the same time, the survey reminds us of the importance of interaction − we want to stay increasingly connected with our stakeholders, and to listen to and understand them better,” says Liisa Salo, Head of Communications at Metropolia.
A strong reputation builds trust and stakeholder support
The research shows that a strong and stable reputation strengthens trust in Metropolia and increases positive attitudes toward its activities. Reputation correlates with stakeholder behavior: when operations are perceived as high-quality, responsible and appreciative of employees, stakeholders are also more willing to recommend the organisation, collaborate with it, and participate in its development in various roles.
“Reputation is the result of how well we succeed in our core mission and in everyday interactions. It reflects the long-term work and commitment to quality and responsibility across the entire Metropolia community,” Salo says.
