Why going back to school was the best decision
Teemu Lankinen studied Master's degree in Business Informatics. Teemu tells about his studies:
"I highly recommend getting back to school after few years in working life. Theory just hits different when you have some work life experience. You’ll have better questions.
I really enjoyed the face to face lectures that took place every other Friday as they gave the opportunity to connect with lecturers, guest speakers and fellow students who work or have worked in real companies. One must not underestimate the benefit of learning from each other.
A master’s programme is not a handholding exercise. If you’re looking for someone to spoon feed the answers, maybe this is not for you. If you aspire to be a leader of others you must first master the skill of leading yourself. Here, you learn that. That being said. Do not hesitate to ask for support. You will get it.
The schedule allows for fitting the studies in-between work and family life. It will be a tremendous advantage to design the topics of school assignments so that they advance whatever it is you do at work. It was surprising how many birds can be hit with a handful of stones when you plan ahead.
