This intensive 5-day course provides college students with an understanding of cybersecurity within the airport industry. Topics will apply to most forms of Critical Transportation Hubs. Students will learn about the unique challenges airports face, relevant cybersecurity threats, regulatory compliance, and the key strategies required to secure airport IT infrastructures, systems, and operations. The course will incorporate theoretical lessons, case studies, and hands-on labs to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.
Learning objectives
After the course the students will have an understanding of:
• Understanding of cybersecurity within the airport industry
• Understand relevant cybersecurity threats, regulatory compliance in transport hubs
• Explore key strategies required to secure airport IT infrastructures, systems, and operations.
Prerequisites
Basic understanding of IT concepts (networking, operating systems, security fundamentals)
No prior specialized knowledge of aviation cybersecurity is required, though it may be helpful.
