The AgeTechNet project will carry out a state-of-the-art analysis of the provision of continuous education, as well as of the networks for professional competence development and training provision related to age-technologies. Based on this, collaboration in continuous education provision will be developed with stakeholders and educational through workshops and interviews. This results in a networking model, drawing on evidence-based and foresight information. This cooperation will be developed throughout the project process to get it operational and effective. The model will be piloted and evaluated, then finalized and documented for widespread use.
The project will result in the creation of a national networking model for the provision of continuing education in age-related technologies, Age Technology Continuous Education through Multidisciplinary Networking, AgeTechNet. This model will enable time- and place-independent continuing education that can be directly applied in practice. This will improve the accessibility and quality of training and promote cost-effectiveness and productivity in educational organizations and the social and health sector. Professionals' competence in age-related technologies will improve. The elderly benefit from better digital services, which improves their quality. The AgeTechNet model-based production of continuous education can support sustainable development in service provision.
The project is collaborating with JOPPI – the national coordination project for continuous learning, overseen by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland.
