Training and coaching on AI tools for sales and marketing in SMEs (AI-Pakki)

The project builds on the identified needs to improve the skills of staff in SMEs, micro-enterprises and sole traders in the use of AI and automation tools. The project will focus on promoting the use of these tools in sales and marketing in the Uusimaa region's SMEs, micro-enterprises and sole entrepreneurs. The project will respond to rapidly changing workplace needs and technological developments, that are required in ensuring that businesses remain and become more competitive.

A key premise of the project is that the adoption of AI and automation technologies is no longer an option. It is a necessity for companies to remain competitive. Rapid technological advances, particularly in the field of generative AI, will enable significant improvements in the efficiency and quality of work. These technologies will provide companies with the opportunity to modernise their business processes, to improve their productivity and to remain competitive in the national and international markets. The project will also have an impact on marketing and sales challenges that are important for SMEs and micro-enterprises in the Uusimaa region. These challenges include the slow development of labour productivity compared to the peer countries and the threat posed by the introduction of artificial intelligence and automation technologies by foreign competitors.

Objectives

The objective of the project is to increase the use and effective application of sales and marketing AI tools by project participants in their sales and marketing activities.

The long-term objective of the project activities is that participants and the companies they represent create sustainable changes in the operations, which will support their growth and internationalisation, strengthen the competitive position of the participants and the companies they represent, and improve productivity and well-being at work.

Target groups

The main target group of the project are sales and marketing professionals in Uusimaa's SMEs and micro-enterprises with basic to intermediate skills in sales and marketing tasks.

The project is also aimed at managers in SMEs who want to lead their teams to adopt more efficient and innovative practices.

Implementation

The project will implement a comprehensive training and coaching programme. The training will consist of modules covering the basics of AI and automation, applications in sales and marketing, data exploitation and data protection. The aim of the training is to enable participants to adopt and use AI tools in their own work. In addition, the project will offer small group training sessions focusing on the concrete implementation of AI tools in business operations. These trainings will help participants to develop new ways of working, improve their work processes and create added value for their businesses.

The active involvement and commitment of the participants to the objectives of the training and coaching will be key to the success of the project. The training and practices produced and learnt during the project will be transfered into an open university of applied sciences offer, ensuring continuity and wider applicability of the project's impact.

Implementers

The project is implemented as a group project. The main project is implemented by Laurea University of Applied Sciences and the sub-project is implemented by Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
