Co-design of U!REKA Joint Master in Commercialization and Management of Clean Technologies (CoMaCT)

Shaping the future of Clean Technology Management Education

The co-design of the U!REKA Joint Master in Commercialization and Management of Clean Technologies (CoMaCT) is a visionary collaborative project that aims to create a highly integrated and interdisciplinary master’s programme in the fields of Economics, Management, and Business. The programme will be delivered by at least three European higher education institutions (HEIs). The goal is to educate a new generation of management professionals who can drive forward the twin transition toward climate-neutral and smart cities, leverage disruptive clean technologies (cleantech) and decarbonisation, while simultaneously promoting economic growth.

Funding

The project is funded by the EU Erasmus Mundus Design Measures funding.

Project Timeline

The project will be carried out from November 2025 to January 2027.

Project Goals

  • Co-Designing an Innovative Joint Master’s Programme: Develop a two-year, 120 ECTS master’s degree programme delivered by at least three consortium HEIs, aligned with Level 7 of the ISCED 2011 international standard classification.
  • Boosting Internationalisation and Outreach: Increase the global attractiveness of U!REKA partner universities by bridging and modernising academic curricula, attracting talented students worldwide, and building new partnerships via an Industrial Relations Board engaging industry stakeholders.
  • Advancing European Higher Education Standards: Strengthen processes for quality assurance, external evaluation, accreditation, and recognition of qualifications by launching a joint external evaluation and accreditation procedure in accordance with EQAR standards for joint programmes.
  • Ensuring Long-Term Impact and Sustainability: Embed the new joint programme into U!REKA’s core governance and stakeholder engagement structures, formalised through a comprehensive partnership agreement to ensure continuity, impact, and growth.
