EXAM visit at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
An exam visit means that you take an exam for a course of your own university in an EXAM exam room of another university. The exam visit is booked in your own university's EXAM system using your university's login credentials.
The exam room has real-time and recorded camera surveillance. When you book an exam time in Metropolia's Exam room, you accept Metropolia's Exam regulations for electronic exams and surveillance practices. During an exam visit, camera surveillance recordings are handed over to your home university if necessary.

Book an exam time
Always register for the examination and book an examination time using your home university account credentials in the EXAM system of your home university. Please remember to cancel or reschedule your reservation if you are unable to attend.
Reservations can be made maximum 60 days ahead.
Location and opening hours of EXAM room
The exam visit facility is located in the Myllypuro Campus of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences at Myllypurontie 1, 00920 Helsinki.
The easiest way to get to Myllypuro is by metro. At the Myllypuro station, exit through Exit A, Orpaanporras. There is some free parking on the street and at the nearby sports halls. See the parking map of the area: Myllypuro parking map
The best entrance to use is the D entrance, opposite the metro station. To arrive at the reception, continue straight forward.
To have access to the exam room, you first need to borrow a temporary access card from the Reception on the ground floor. You will need to present some official identification to get the access card. Before leaving the campus, take the temporary access card back to the Reception.
The Exam room is the room B6003, on the 6th floor of the B building. Next to the Exam room, there are lockers where you can store your belongings; they cannot be taken into the Exam room.
When on the 6th floor, step out of the lift and turn right to see the Exam room straight ahead.
Opening Hours
The EXAM room is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8.45 pm, Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm.
The EXAM room is closed on mid-week holidays and during Metropolia UAS holiday season.
Summer 2025: EXAM is closed 28.6.-3.8.2025.
Accessibility
You can take the elevator to the 6th floor with the EXAM room. The room is accessible by wheelchair. The desks are electrically adjustable.

The room is equipped with real-time and recording camera surveillance.

Rules in EXAM room
1. Arrive in good time before the exam is to start. You will access the EXAM room with a temporary access card that you get from the Reception on the ground floor. To get the access card, you will need to present some identification. Return the access card to the Reception when leaving.
2. Check the EXAM room and number of the EXAM computer allotted to you in the EXAM system or the e-mail you have received. The allotted computer is the only one you can use to take the exam. Log in to the computer with HAKA login. When logging in to the EXAM system, select your own institution from the HAKA list of universities.
3. Use the lockers outside of the EXAM room to store your belongings while you take the exam. The locker door is locked with a remotely read card such as a travel card, bonus card or bank card. No other items than a student / ID card and access card to the room can be taken into the EXAM room. Therefore, store your bag, mobile phone, earphones, smart watch, calculator, outdoor clothes, drinks, snacks etc. in the lockers.
4. Enter the EXAM room and find your allotted computer ca 5 minutes before your exam is to start to allow the previous examinee to finish their exam.
5. In the EXAM room, there are instructions on how to take the exam and what to do in case of problems. No technical or other support is available during the exam. Paper and pencils are available in case you wish to sketch your answers on paper during the exam.
6. The EXAM room is equipped with recording camera surveillance.
Rules to remember:
- Do not bring any extra belongings with you into the EXAM room.
- Do not leave and re-enter the EXAM room during the exam. The exam must be completed and submitted before leaving the EXAM room.
- Observe absolute silence in the EXAM room, allow other examinees to take their exam in peace.
- Keep your student or ID card with you in the EXAM room for random identity checks.
- The EXAM room is equipped with camera surveillance that records both video and audio.
- Please avoid strong fragrances.

Log in to the computer with HAKA login. When logging in to the EXAM system, select your own institution from the HAKA list of universities.
Check the EXAM room and number of the EXAM computer allotted to you in the EXAM system or the e-mail you have received. The allotted computer is the only one you can use to take the exam.
Problems during the exam and technical support
No real-time support is available to the EXAM room. Instructions on what to do in case of problems can be found in the room. Please send an email about any trouble, disturbance or behavior that breaks the rules to exam [at] metropolia.fi (exam[at]metropolia[dot]fi).
Reasonable accommodations for exam visits
The student can request reasonable accommodations for taking the exam from their home university. Arrangements are agreed on a case-by-case basis between the home university and the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
