The maximum score for the course is 100 points. The mathematics component is worth 60 points, with at least 30 points required for a passing course completion, and the statistics component is worth 40 points, with at least 20 points required for a passing course completion. In addition, a passing result in the exam for each component (at least 30% of the maximum points) is required.

Each component consists of two parts: the exam, conducted in the EXAM examination system, and assignments in the Moodle learning environment. In mathematics, the maximum points for the exam are 35 and for assignments 25; in statistics, 25 for the exam and 15 for assignments.

When a student has successfully completed both components as well as their exams, the points from mathematics and statistics are summed to determine the final grade. The minimum points required for grades are as follows:

  1. – 50 points
  2. – 60 points
  3. – 70 points
  4. – 80 points
  5. – 90 points.

NOTE: If the score or exam result for either mathematics or statistics falls below the passing threshold, the student’s grade is failed (0), regardless of the total score.
