The 60 ECTS Metropolia Tech Pathway – Specialization in Laboratory Science offers students in Sri Lanka and outside the EU/EEA a high-quality, structured route to the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Laboratory Science at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland.
Delivered in collaboration with the International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) in Sri Lanka, this Pathway programme is designed to prepare you academically, professionally, and culturally for your studies in Finland. All completed Pathway studies are fully accredited and recognized as part of your degree at Metropolia.
Students who complete the Advanced Diploma in Biomedical Sciences (ADBMS) at IIHS become eligible to apply for degree studies at Metropolia through the Tech Pathway.
After successfully completing the Pathway, you are eligible to apply for admission to the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Laboratory Science at Metropolia. A limited number of study places are reserved exclusively for successful Pathway graduates, providing a clear and supported progression route to your degree.
Throughout your Pathway studies, experienced IIHS lecturers will strengthen your scientific foundation while helping you develop the academic English and study skills needed to succeed in Finnish higher education. At the same time, in close cooperation with Metropolia, dedicated professionals in Sri Lanka will guide you through the practical steps related to starting your studies in Finland.
