Trimble’s Tekla Structures Basics Training

This training course introduces Trimble’s Tekla Structures. It aims to familiarize participants with the software’s user interface, essential tools, and modeling techniques for effective structural modelling.

This course is the first part of the Tekla Structures training program, designed to teach participants about the software’s basic features and applications. The training consists of an online package that includes lectures and self-paced study modules, aimed at helping participants build a strong foundation in using Tekla Structures.

Trimble’s Tekla Structures Concrete Structures Design

This course focuses on modeling, detailing, and creating drawings for concrete structures using Tekla Structures. Participants will gain practical skills in utilizing Tekla's tools for efficient design and collaboration in concrete structure projects.

This course is the next step in the Tekla Structures training program, specifically focusing on concrete structures. It is designed to teach participants how to model concrete elements, create accurate fabrication and construction drawings, and utilize Tekla’s extensive range of components that are available by default in the software or through the Tekla Warehouse.

Additionally, the course includes instruction on Tekla's model-sharing features, which allow multiple designers to collaborate on the same model simultaneously.

The training is conducted in an onsite classroom format and emphasizes a hands-on approach to learning. This method will help participants gain a solid understanding of how to use Tekla Structures for concrete design, equipping them to tackle the challenges they will encounter in their daily work in the field.

  1. Reinforcement detailing
  • Introduction to rebar set and rebar group tools
  • Modeling reinforcement bars with components and basic tools
  • Bar bending type management

This comprehensive training program is designed to provide professionals with the skills necessary to effectively utilize Tekla Structures for designing and detailing steel and reinforced concrete structures across various sectors. The training begins with a customization meeting, during which we thoroughly examine the customer's needs and goals. This meeting helps clarify the specific requirements for the training. Following this discussion, we provide a preliminary training plan and recommendations that are aligned with the customer's objectives and the capabilities of Tekla Structures. Once the training plan is approved, we create a tailored training program that incorporates the customer’s unique setups, references, models, tools, and other relevant elements to ensure that the training is directly applicable to their daily tasks and workflows.

Participants will learn how to produce accurate 3D models that include all relevant engineering data, enabling them to design and construct a variety of structures. The course covers all aspects of the design process, from fundamental concepts to the final structure, including everything from modeling to documentation. It will also address the use of Tekla Structures functions, such as the Organizer, templates, and other essential features that enhance the design experience. The goal is to simplify the sharing of information and ensure that everyone involved in a project has access to the most recent updates. With Trimble Connect, project team members can easily access the latest models, plans, and other essential project information, which improves collaboration and reduces errors caused by outdated data. Trimble Connect works as the project Common Data Environment (CDE) where all the project data can be stored, used, modified and shared.

This training helps participants get familiar with the basic features of Trimble Connect. Conducted in a classroom setting, the course includes presentations and hands-on exercises. You will learn how to use Trimble Connect to share project files, organize data, and work together with team members. How to view, measure, mark and comments to the IFC models and drawings. How to communicate with each participant by through the software. By using this tool, everyone involved in the project will always be on the same page with the most current information.
