ICT Summer School

The international ICT Summer School is held every year in August. The first Summer School was held in 2009 in its current form and it has come more and more popular since then. This Summer School gives you an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge on the topics, and at the same time meet new people, expand your network internationally and visit Finland.

ICT Summer School is open for everyone. If you are not a degree student in Metropolia or international partner university student, you can register for the courses through Metropolia Open UAS. Check the Open UAS registration instructions below.

Come study with us!

Welcome to ICT Summer School 2024!

ICT Summer School 2024 will be organized on 5 August - 23 August 2024.

Why participate ICT Summer School?

  • Intensive Courses: Courses will provide you with knowledge and hands-on experience in a short period of time.
  • Esteemed Teachers: Summer school teachers are our partner university professors or industry experts who are teaching their favorite subjects in summer school, bringing their expertise and enthusiasm to the classroom to inspire you.
  • International Environment: ICT Summer School brings together participants and teachers from all around the world, creating a diverse and multicultural learning environment. You will have the opportunity to network with fellow participants, learn from their experiences, and make new friends. Participants are students from different degree programmes, exchange students and Open UAS students.
  • Wide Range of Subjects: Although most courses are engineering related, some courses go beyond engineering or IT topics and cover multidisciplinary areas such as business, communication, and time management, so that students from different fields of study can all participate.
  • Hands-on Learning: Courses emphasize hands-on learning through practical assignments, case studies, and group projects.

ICT Summer School Programme

The programme 2024 will be published in April 2024.

Programme 2024 will consist of several intensive bachelor level courses (2 - 5 ECTS credits) taught by our international partner university teachers or industry experts. You can participate in one or more courses. Intensive courses last from one to two weeks and the lessons are either in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening. All courses are taught in English. Courses will be held either at Metropolia campus or online.
