ICT Summer School

Overview

The international ICT Summer School gives you an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge on different areas of information and communication technology, and at the same time explore Finland, meet new people, and expand your network internationally.

The annual ICT Summer School will be held on 5 - 30 August 2019.

ICT Summer School Programme  

Summer School programme consists of several intensive courses (3-5 ECTS credits). You can participate in one or more courses. The course offering varies every year. Programme for August 2019 is listed below (NB! Changes may occur).

This year, ICT Summer School courses are held in Metropolia Myyrmäki campus in the city of Vantaa. The campus address is Leiritie 1, 01600 Vantaa.

Registration for the courses

Registration for the ICT Summer School courses starts in May 2019. Registration method depends on your background: 

1. Metropolia degree students

  • Enrolment time: 2 May - 4 August 2019
  • Enrol for the courses in OMA
  • Courses are a free of charge for Metropolia degree students.
  • Contact person: mira.myllarinen(at)metropolia.fi

2. Students from foreign Partner Institutions

  • Enrolment time: 2 May - 2 June 2019
  • Enrolment by email: tiina.piipponen(at)metropolia.fi
  • Enrolments for the courses are accepted on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Check the list of Partner Institutions

3. Students from 3AMK partner schools: Laurea UAS and Haaga-Helia UAS 

  • Enrolment time: 13 May - 10 June 2019
  • Courses are a free of charge for Laurea and Haaga-Helia students and each course has a certain amount of places reserved for them.
  • Enrolments for the courses are accepted on a first come, first served basis. 
  • 3AMK enrolment instructions for ICT Summer School courses

4. Students that do not study in Metropolia or any partner institution ( = Open University students)

  • Students that do not study in Metropolia or any partner institution can enrol for Summer School courses through Metropolia Open UAS. Open UAS study fee is 15 euros/1 credit. 
  • Each course has a certain amount of places reserved for Open UAS students. Enrolments for the courses are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
  • Summer School courses will be published on the Open UAS website on 30 April 2019 under the menu Course Supply: Technology. Enrolment time will start when the courses have been published on Open UAS website.
  • Please check the Open UAS website  for more information (link to enrolment form and enrolment instructions are there).
