Digital Event Design - 3D Venueinfo

Co-funded by the European Union Digital Event Design project

Digital Event Design project boosts productivity and competitiveness of the event industry across Finland

The Digital Event Design project aims to strengthen the productivity, business conditions, and digital capabilities of the event industry. The project helps event venues, event organizers, and professionals in the cultural and creative sectors utilize digital tools in planning, sales, marketing, and production, while also improving the holistic planning of events.

Supporting event venue business and regional vitality

Within the project, 2D and 3D spatial models and standardized venue information packages will be created for event venue companies and organizations. These packages will compile up-to-date information on measurements, capacities, and services in one place. The goal is to make venues easier to sell, increase their utilization rate, and support the creation of new events across different parts of Finland.

In addition, the spatial models serve as tools for event safety planning and help facilitate dialogue with safety authorities. The models produced through the project can also support the cost-effective planning of accessibility for different types of events and the creation of accessibility descriptions for events.

More broadly, the project strengthens the competitiveness of the entire sector and contributes to regional vitality.

Skills for a new era of event production

The project will organize free training sessions for professionals in the event, cultural, and creative sectors across Finland. The training will cover topics such as 3D modeling, event venue and site planning, proactive safety planning, and the possibilities of event technology. Information about the training sessions will be made available on the project website (in Finnish): digitm.fi.

The goal is to increase expertise that helps organizations streamline their operations, develop services in a customer-oriented way, and effectively use digital tools in everyday work.

The project is implemented nationwide across Finland and will continue until spring 2028.
