Metropolia University of Applied Sciences offers a wide variety of free Finnish language courses for anyone interested, especially for immigrants. The courses support language skills needed in everyday life, work, and studies at different levels. You can develop your Finnish skills flexibly according to your own goals.
We offer Finnish language courses for different levels. The studies are suitable for both beginners and more advanced learners. Some courses are completed independently online. In others, you study together with a teacher. All Finnish courses at Metropolia Open UAS are free of charge and open to everyone.

The course levels (A1.1–B2.1) are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Assessment is also based on this framework. You can read more in Finnish language about language levels on the Finnish National Agency for Education website (in Finnish language).
