The programme is 30 ECTS credits and lasts up to six months. The studies are full-time; please check the exact duration on each MAVA programme website.

Language skills

The aim of programme to develop your Finnish language skills from level B1 to level B2.

The programme includes both contact lessons and online studies, or it can be completed fully online. Check the study mode on each MAVA programme website.

Additional benefit at Metropolia

If you complete the full programme (30 ECTS) at Metropolia UAS, you can study free of charge at Metropolia Open UAS for two semesters after graduation.

  • The benefit applies only to courses and study modules
  • Path studies are not included
  • The free studies must be completed within two semesters
    • Register for Open UAS studies in the Open UAS online shop, choose invoice as the payment method, and inform Open UAS via the contact form that you have completed the preparatory programme for immigrants. Remember to also indicate in the form which studies you have registered for.
