Supporting Immigrants in Business Administration Careers

Do you have a higher education degree in business administration or economics and are looking for a job in HR or marketing?

During the academic year 2025–2026, we will offer two business administration training programs for immigrants as part of the project "Language-supported competence paths for the labour shortage sectors of immigrants in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area". You can find more details about the project on its dedicated webpage.

The trainings in business administration are focusing on human resource management (HR) and marketing. This webpage focuses on the marketing training program provided by Metropolia UAS. Read more about the training in human resource management (HR).

The project is led by the University of Helsinki, with Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Aalto University as partners.

The project is co-funded by the European Union.

Language-Supported Training in Marketing for Immigrants

We offer a free training program in business administration focusing on Marketing in the spring semester 2026.

The training program is designed for Finnish language learners at an intermediate level (B1), and you will study in Finnish. The training follows the model of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences' previous Career Boost programs. Learn more about Metropolia’s Career Boost in Financial Management on our website.

What are the goals of the Marketing Training?

  • Learn new, in-demand skills in the field of marketing and business administration
  • Improve your Finnish language skills from level B1 to level B2
  • Make it easier for you to find work in your field in Finland

Please note that these programs do not lead to a higher education degree. The idea is to develop your skills and support you in finding work in the field of business administration.
