ICT Summer School

Overview

The annual ICT Summer School will be held in August 2018 at Metropolia UAS Leppävaara campus. 

The international ICT Summer School gives you an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge on different areas of information and communication technology, and at the same time explore Finland, meet new people, and expand your network internationally.

ICT Summer School Programme  

ICT Summer School 2018 will be held 6 - 24 August 2018. Please find the programme 2018 in the table below (changes may occur). 

Summer School Programme consists of several intensive courses (3-5 ECTS credits). You can participate in one or more courses.

Leppävaara campus

ICT Summer School courses are all held in Metropolia Leppävaara campus in the city of Espoo. The campus address is Vanha maantie 6, 02650 Espoo.

Classrooms for each course are shown in the table above. You can also find the whole ICT Summer School schedule from https://lukkarit.metropolia.fi/ 
Please enter ICTSUMMER  to the 'Group ID' field. 

Please re-check the classroom info a couple days before the course starts as changes may occur.

Letter explanations:
A = Building A, the older side of the campus
B = Building B, the new side of the campus

First number is the floor number.
0 = Ground floor
1 = 1st floor. The main doors and the lobby is situated on the 1st floor.
2 = 2nd floor

For example lab B204 means Building B, 2nd floor. The next numbers indicate the room number.

Please ask the porters for advice if you can't find the correct classroom. Porter's desk is situated in the main lobby.

Registration for the courses

Registration for the ICT Summer School courses starts in May 2018. 

1. Metropolia degree students

  • Courses are a free of charge for Metropolia degree students.
  • Enrolment time for the courses starts on 2 May 2018 in OMA
  • NB! Enrolment for the course International Communication ends already on 8 June because of the pre-assignment. 

2. Students from foreign Partner Institutions

  • Enrolment by email: tiina.piipponen(at)metropolia.fi
  • Enrolment time: 2 May - 10 June 2018 
  • Enrolments for the courses are accepted on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Check the list of Partner Institutions

3. Students from 3AMK partner schools: Laurea UAS and Haaga-Helia UAS 

  • Courses are a free of charge for Laurea and Haaga-Helia students.
  • Each course has a certain amount of places reserved for Haaga-Helia and Laurea students.
  • Enrolments for the courses are accepted on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Enrolment time for Laurea and Haaga-Helia students starts on 14 May 2018. 3AMK enrolment instructions

4. Students that do not study in Metropolia or any partner institution ( = Open University students)

  • Students that do not study in Metropolia or any partner institution can enrol for Summer School courses through Metropolia Open UAS. 
  • Each course has a certain amount of places reserved for Open UAS students.
  • Enrolments for the courses are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
  • Open UAS study fee is 15 euros/1 credit. Please read before enrolling: Study Fees and Cancellations 
  • Summer School courses are a part of the Open UAS Autumn offering and will be published in June on the Open UAS website, under the field of Course supply: Technology. Please follow the Open UAS website for more information and enrolment instructions.
