Top-up degree in Business Informatics is a programme that offers a special opportunity to the students of two of our partner programmes: British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) from Canada and Golden Gate University from USA. The students can, under certain conditions, continue their studies to the Master's degree studies in Business Informatics. These partnerships are supported by special agreements between our programmes. (Other applicants are not qualified to apply to the Top-up degree).
The partner students will study for a shorter period of time since their have already completed their non-degree studies that can be recognized as part of the MBA degree in Business Informatics (90 ECTS in full).

Business Informatics is a Master’s degree programme for business and engineering professionals who want to deepen their strategic and managerial skills via better use of business information systems.
The Programme equips participants to address the challenges of digitalization and digital transformation in business and work life. The student will become an analyzer and a competent user of business information for decision-making, business operations, and business development. The student will learn how to collect, interpret and analyze data, and craft answers to business critical questions. The students will also learn how to apply business development methods to drive business growth and innovation.
Exceptionally, our partner's students and graduates will come with the competencies and skills that enable them to earn their Master´s degree faster, since they have already completed a significant part of the studies towards the Master´s degree in Business Informatics in their own programmes.
All our students enjoy a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary, tied-to-business environment and sharing expertise with the participants who are full-time working professionals. Classes take various forms. The courses are implemented via contact and online teaching, class discussions, team work, self-study, business simulations, workshops, and seminars. Students are instructed by staff and experts with business and academic experience.
The study group includes students from two backgrounds, business and engineering studying together. This mixture of business and engineering professionals allows our students to develop a good common language with professionals across the field and feel more confident in the working life.
In the Top-up degree, you will study those courses and disciplines that you have not previously completed in the partner programme, and work on your Master's thesis (30 ECTS) for a real-life company, either your current or previous employer, or some partner company.
