Power BI course

Target audience

The training is aimed at people who plan and manage the organization's Power BI environment. The training is also suitable for all Power BI users who want to gain a better understanding of the cloud service environment.

Objectives

After completing the course, student has ability in theory and in practise to use Power BI to analyze, present and automate tasks during in his/her workflow.

You also know how to

• use Power BI's REST programming interface
• embed Power BI content in your applications
• use row-level security (RLS) to ensure that application users see the correct information and can choose the license that suits your needs

Content

• Connect to data sources using import, DirectQuery, and live connection options
• Use Power Query Editor for data transformation and data cleansing processes
• Write M and R scripts and dataflows to do the same in the cloud
• Design effective reports with built-in and custom visuals to optimize user experience
• Implement row-level and column-level security in your dashboards
• Deploy your Power BI Desktop files into Power BI Report Server
