In the HyMy Village Movement Laboratory services, you will be met without haste and expertly by the physiotherapy, podiatry, prosthetics and orthotics students of Metropolia. Our staff, who are health care professionals, are responsible for the services. We use modern movement analysis equipment, with which we can evaluate your movement and functional ability in a versatile way.

After the measurements, we give you feedback on the most significant measurement results of the analysis.
We carry out the measurements by utilizing 2D motion analysis software, high-speed cameras, the Optogait system and pressure sensor insoles.
High-speed cameras are connected to 2D motion analysis software and the Optogait system produce detailed information about joint angles and joint positions, in different stages of walking or running, as well as step length and width.
With pressure sensor insoles, we also get information about the distribution of the load on the sole of the foot and the peak loads during walking or running.
The systems produce measurement results in numerical, graphic and video formats.
For the visit, please wear colored (not black) shorts or skin-tight tights, so that we can analyze the function and load of the lower limb accurately enough. Please bring the walking or running shoes you currently use to the test.
