Familiarize yourself with the Information Technology curricula and each course description in detail.

What are ECTS points?

"ECTS points, or ECTS credits, indicate the required workload to complete a study programme, or a module within a study programme. ECTS points only indicate workload; they do not indicate a grade."

In Finland 60 ECTS credits = 1,600 study hours → 1 ECTS credit = 27 study hours.

How full-time studies are implemented?

You will continue your studies in the Information Technology degree program from the third year, majoring in Smart IoT Systems — either in Embedded IoT Devices or IoT and Networks. The studies are full-time.

The advanced professional studies and language studies require on-campus attendance. About half of the studies are guided by a teacher, while the rest should be completed independently by the student. Your studies will include theoretical instruction, various practical assignments, independent and group work, as well as written tasks.

You have two years of studies to complete. The normative expectation is that a student completes 60 ECTS credits per academic year, meaning that 120 credits correspond to two years of full-time study.
