You can apply for the Master’s Degree in the Development and Leadership of Emergency Care if:
- you have at least three years of work experience in emergency care;
- you have a degree in health care and social services from a university of applied sciences or some other applicable higher education degree; and
- you want to expand and enhance your specialised competence and invest in your professional development.
Goals of the Degree
Completing a Master’s Degree in the Development and Leadership of Emergency Care enables you to work in managerial and expert roles in social and health care organisations.
The degree gives you the competence to lead and develop emergency care service systems and to determine and implement the processes of emergency care service levels by analysing different risk assessment models. You will also be able to work in various managerial and expert roles in emergency care and develop and lead operative emergency care services.
Implementation of the Studies
The degree programme includes research, development and innovation studies, social and health care leadership studies, and advanced studies in emergency care management. Elective studies are also included.
The Master’s studies are organized as blended learning, including contact teaching, online learning and learning assignments. Contact teaching is arranged on 4-6 days per month depending on the implementation.
The studies consist of independent and group work, requiring time management skills and self-direction.
